Weekend Shift Compounding Technician

 Ottawa, IL 61350

Pay Rate: $18.50 / hour

Work Days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
 
 
Job Description
Job Title: Compounder Classification
  Non-Exempt Directly reports to: Compounding Supervisor Indirectly reports to: Compounding Manager Job Summary: Batch makers are responsible for verifying ingredients according to a provided formula and then blending those ingredients to create an approved batch for filling. Responsibilities:
  1. Promote and adhere to safety rules and guidelines for all work processes.
  2. Perform all operations required to complete batches for use in production - these operations include: weighing items, adding ingredients, following instructions, logging data, interfacing with support systems, verifying quality, and mixing elements together
  • Monitor batches for quality and report any issues to supervisors and or management
  • Work closely with lab staff to ensure batches are in spec and on time.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming workplace that complies with current good manufacturing practices standards, 5S requirements and other established best practices
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience (consumer packaged goods) as a compounder or blender preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a chemical blending environment and knowledge of GMP’S.
  • Demonstrated track record of integrity + work ethic
Requirements:
  • Candidates should have the ability to stand for a minimum of 11 hours a day, performing manual duties
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. and pour 50-pound containers of materials regularly
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and ability to adapt to a changing environment
