Job description

Weekend Direct Care Farm & Greenhouse Recovery Support Staff - Part Time

Weekend Support Staff responsibilities include all farm chores for the plants and animals on the weekends: feeding, watering, farm landscaping projects. This position will also engage residents if they are interested in helping with chores on the weekend.

Location: Mill Spring, NC

Hours:

  • Part Time Hours
  • Friday 1 โ€“ 5 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 8 am โ€“ 5 pm

Benefits:

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Feed, water, and take care of all animals on the farm (chickens, ponies, sheep, dogs, rabbits, cats, geese, ducks, and goats)
  • Water the greenhouses and check heating/cooling systems are functioning properly
  • Handle all garden chores
  • Working on landscaping projects for the properties
  • Engage residents interested in helping with the chores

Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years or older to operation CooperRiis vehicles and equipment and to be covered under CooperRiis Insurance
  • Experience working on a farm or garden setting
  • Ability to work in various weather, be moving, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently
  • Ability to operate farm machinery such as tractors, large mowers
