The White Moustache is seeking a warehouse attendee to help organize, clean and manage a warehouse space and market inventory in support of our Farmers Market program. The warehouse attendee plays an integral role with managing and executing a variety of tasks in support of multiple Farmers Markets that take place each weekend. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual responsible for cleaning, organizing and maintaining a wide range of inventory and point-of-sale materials. The position is based in our Brooklyn warehouse with work hours taking place during the week and on the weekends (Sat & Sun required).
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Cleaning: Clean and maintain a warehouse space including storage area, walk-in coolers, bathroom and small work space. Maintain a weekly schedule for cleaning and maintaining essential supplies/materials including coolers, ice packs, linens, jar returns, etc. Assist with the collection and disposal of garbage with a focus on maintaining a spotless work environment.
Maintain Market Materials: Organize, clean, maintain and repair a variety of materials used at our weekend Farmers Markets. This includes and is not limited to; Event Kits/Bins, Pop Up Tents, Weights, Tables, Electronics, Linens, Signage, Coolers, Ice Packs, Cash Boxes, and Point of Sale Materials.
Load In/Load Out: Assist with the handling and unloading of The White Moustache line of yogurt products including Yogurt, Labneh, Tonics and Ice Pops. Help with the receiving and load in/load out of materials in support of our weekend Farmers Markets. This includes unloading coolers, kits, weights, tents from vans after market and placing them in their proper location. Immediately allocate perishable and frozen items back into the freezer and walk-in cooler. Ability to take inventory on items and products to prepare for the following markets.
Recycling / Jar Returns: Serve as the point person for the preliminary inspection, cleaning and processing our jar/bottle recycling program. Maintain a weekly schedule to clean, process and package yogurt jars and tonic bottles. Build pallets and coordinate weekly pick up with The White Moustache office Manager.
Organization: Organize and neatly store all materials housed in the warehouse, walk in coolers and work area. Take inventory as needed.
Other Skills
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks/logistics simultaneously with a focus on detail and completing tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and safe handling of bleach a must.
  • Experience with Food Production or Food Service industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate with key departments & personnel (Senior Management, Quality Assurance, Operations, Farmers Market Manager, Office Manager etc.).
  • Experience with performing basic maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning
  • Exceptional Communication skills with a focus on providing clear written and oral communication and follow through on all tasks and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift.
  • Experience with creating and updating Google Docs/Sheets along with basic/light computer work and email.

Schedule
The position requires someone who is available to work select weekdays and both Saturday and Sunday. The days and hours for this position are based on a variety of tasks that need to be completed in support of our Farmers Markets that take place each weekend.
