Job description

The following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year:

Goshen Community Schools

Event Custodian

**10 positions available**

POSITION PURPOSE: Goshen Community Schools hosts a variety of athletic, community, and special events throughout the year. The Event Custodian is responsible for ensuring setup, execution and cleanup of all events, and upkeep of the property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Helps with setting up and tearing down for athletic events, special events, and community events
  • Provides guests with a positive impression of the facility
  • Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, and bleachers before and after events
  • Assists with execution, supervision, and cleanup for all events
  • Directs guests to the correct location
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dependable โ€“ arrive to work on time
  • Responsible
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
  • Applicant must be a team player
  • Able to work independently
  • General custodial and facilities maintenance experience is a plus

WORK CALENDAR: 52 weeks per year; hours vary and include weekend events

SALARY: $17.00 (Schedule #35-2.1)
