Job description

Company Overview
¡Vamos! Health was founded on the belief that everyone deserves a healthy and fulfilling life. We provide primary care and navigational services in Spanish and English.
¡Vamos! Health is bringing forward-thinking teammates along on a novel healthcare journey: a membership model where our patients receive a level of attention they won't find anywhere else. No insurance is required to be a member; patients pay a predictable monthly fee. Our team members who interact with patients are fully bilingual in Spanish and English. We offer primary care for all ages in-person, over the phone, and by text message. Community Health Navigators support our members with services beyond just clinical care. At some locations, we also take Medicaid! Healthcare is a family affair. Our goal is to keep mixed-Medicaid eligible families visiting the doctor together and to provide continuity of care as individuals fall in and out of eligibility.
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and dependable Event Staffer to support Vamos Health's community events, outreach activities, and in-clinic programs. This role will work closely with the Event Coordinator & Public Relations Specialist to help execute events, engage with community members, and create a welcoming and positive experience for prospective patients.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, comfortable starting conversations with new people, and excited to represent Vamos Health in the Hispanic community. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting people, and helping events run smoothly from setup through follow-up.
Location & Compensation
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Compensation: $15/hour+, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday-Saturday with two days off each week and a 1-hour lunch break daily (evenings and weekends required)

  • Represent Vamos Health at community fairs, festivals, health events, partner events, and other local gatherings
  • Set up and break down event materials, tables, signage, promotional items, and other equipment
  • Welcome attendees and create a friendly, engaging experience at the Vamos Health booth or event space
  • Speak with community members about Vamos Health's services and help interested individuals understand how to become patients
  • Distribute flyers, promotional materials, and giveaways while actively engaging attendees
  • Help collect contact information and leads from prospective patients for appropriate follow-up
  • Support in-clinic activities such as master classes, health talks, informational sessions, and community gatherings
  • Assist with event logistics, including organizing supplies, preparing materials, transporting event items, and keeping event spaces organized
  • Capture basic event information, including attendance, community interest, leads, and feedback
  • Maintain event materials and supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Event Coordinator
  • Provide feedback after events about common questions, community needs, and opportunities for future outreach
  • Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and welcoming presence while representing Vamos Health

Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service, events, hospitality, community outreach, sales, or a similar people-facing role preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable approaching and speaking with new people
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities
  • Highly organized and able to work effectively in fast-paced event environments
  • Comfortable working independently as well as under the direction of the Event Coordinator & Public Relations Specialist
  • Willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends based on the event schedule
  • Ability to assist with physical event setup, including moving tables, boxes, signage, and event materials
  • Passion for serving the community and creating positive experiences for Vamos Health patients and prospective patients

Work Environment
  • Primarily community-based work with frequent travel to local events
  • Frequent use of a computer and communication tools
  • Evening and weekend events may be required based on community schedules
