Job description

Come join our team in the role of Events Program Manager!
The Event Program Manager is part of the Corteva Events and Trade Show team and is responsible for developing, planning, details and execution of all event logistics - leading to increased brand awareness, engagements, interactions and experiences for customers, sales reps, employees and others. This role will work cross functionally to plan, manage and execute 4-6 events annually.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage events through an established event life cycle which includes: identification of event objectives, strategy and tactics, event concept/theme creation, budget management, vendor management, logistics planning, hotel/venue planning, menu planning, audio/visual, onsite implementation, and post-event analysis and metrics/reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders of US commercial businesses, understand their objectives and help ensure that the event execution is aligned with and fully supports the event goals.
  • Collaborate with team members on events and provide support for those events where needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.
  • Manage events and address potential problems that may arise.
  • Plan for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events.
  • Assist with on-site event support for events held in conjunction with tradeshows.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Events, Tourism, Communications or Marketing
  • Agriculture background or experience, preferred
  • Remain current (or ahead of the curve) with trends in event planning, design, and production; be able to provide creative solutions to design events that fit the vision of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of contractual language and vendor negotiation.
  • Minimum of 3 years event planning experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must enjoy serving others with a positive, "Can Do" attitude.
  • Builds positive working relationships with internal colleagues
  • Exceptional project management experience.
  • Strong attention to details and be able to manage multiple events at a time.
  • Must work well and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, ability to build relationships and work successfully with a variety of personalities across brands and geographies.
  • Ability to create memorable experiences from conception through completion for a variety of internal and customer meetings and events.
  • Must be technically savvy with ability to quickly learn and manage an html based event registration website, along with Word, PPT and Excel.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 20-30 days a year.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
