Job Description

THE POSITION

Hoosier Racing Tire is seeking a 2026 Events Intern to join our team in Lakeville, IN.

This internship will span Summer and Fall 2026 and will operate in a hybrid capacity, with a strong preference for the selected candidate to work onsite in Lakeville to maximize collaboration and hands-on learning opportunities.

The Events Intern will support the Sales, Marketing, and Communications teams by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events and trade shows.

This role offers valuable, hands-on experience in corporate event planning within a fast-paced motorsports environment.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for trade shows and customer events.
  • Help manage event timelines, checklists, and budgets to ensure successful execution.
  • Assist with on-site event setup, execution, and teardown as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling, registration tracking, and attendee communications.
  • Track event metrics and provide post-event summaries and recommendations.
  • Research and source venues, booth display vehicles, event activations, and interactive engagement ideas to enhance brand presence.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Be a student enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university and entering at least sophomore standing by Fall 2026.
  • Be pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Lakeville, IN.
  • Must be able to commute to Lakeville, IN. Transportation and lodging are not provided for this internship.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Previous experience planning events, student organization involvement, or campus leadership roles.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or event registration platforms.
  • Experience managing budgets or coordinating vendors.
