Job description

Medical Facility in Missouri is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing locum tenens assignment to support expanding surgical volume particularly enhanced weekend OR operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative inpatient team within a high-acuity environment using Epic EMR.
Practice Environment
  • Location: Area of Springfield, MO
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts (day & evening options)
  • Preferred Coverage Model: Friday Monday rotations
  • Setting: Inpatient surgical services
  • EMR: Epic
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (no call)
  • Medical direction model with anesthesiologist support
  • Expanding weekend coverage:
    • 7 ORs + OB on Saturdays
    • 7 ORs + OB on Sundays
  • No admissions, rounding, or supervisory responsibilities required
  • Stroke-certified facility
Clinical Scope

CRNAs will be expected to support a wide range of cases, including:

  • General, adult, and pediatric anesthesia
  • Orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, and OB cases
  • Neurosurgical and spine procedures
  • Regional, spinal, and epidural anesthesia
  • Trauma and acute care cases

Skills & Procedures:

  • Airway management & ventilation
  • Central & arterial line placement
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and management
  • Post-op pain management and nerve blocks
Requirements
  • Active Missouri license (or IMLC eligible)
  • Board eligible or certified CRNA
