Job description

Medical Evaluator (NP or Physician) – Disability Assessment Services
Part-Time | 1 Day Per Week
The IMA Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician (MD/DO) to provide medical evaluations in support of disability determination services. This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy applying their assessment skills in a structured setting without the demands of ongoing patient care.
 
In this role, you will conduct independent medical evaluations and prepare objective reports that assist in disability claim reviews. This is an assessment-focused position with no treatment, prescribing, or long-term patient management responsibilities. Compensation is $50-$60 per exam depending on licensure and experience.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive disability-related medical examinations
  • Review medical records and relevant clinical documentation
  • Assess functional abilities and current medical conditions
  • Complete detailed electronic reports within established guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician (MD/DO) license
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience
  • Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, occupational medicine, PM&R, orthopedics, emergency medicine, or a related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
