Location: Ogden, UT

Pay: $20.00$40.00 per hour, based on experience

EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINISTS WANTED

We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists for direct-hire opportunities at a precision aerospace manufacturing operation in Ogden, Utah.

This opportunity is intended for skilled machinistsnot entry-level machine operators. We are looking for candidates who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and inspect complex precision machining work.

Experience with Swiss lathes, CNC mills, grinders, manual machining, and other precision machining equipment is highly relevant.

PAY, BENEFITS & RELOCATION

$20.00$40.00 per hour, based on experience

$7,500 relocation assistance available for eligible candidates

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Set up and operate CNC, conventional, and/or specialized machining equipment

Perform complex machine setups using standard and custom tooling and fixtures

Run multiple machines efficiently when required

Machine complex parts to close tolerances and precise dimensional and finish requirements

Read and interpret blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, sketches, and work instructions

Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and production issues

Adjust or adapt tooling and machining processes to achieve required results

Inspect completed parts for conformance to specifications

Use precision measuring equipment including gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and other inspection tools

Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities as required

Work with engineering to resolve machining, drawing, or manufacturing-process issues

Maintain machining equipment and a safe, clean, and organized work area

Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives

Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of directly related machining experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment

Strong hands-on CNC machining and machine setup experience

Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory guidance

Ability to make and evaluate complex precision machine setups

Strong blueprint, technical drawing, and engineering specification interpretation skills

Experience machining parts to close and exact tolerances

Ability to use precision measuring and inspection instruments

Strong machining troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, which may include trigonometry

Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a production environment

Ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team

HIGHLY RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience with one or more of the following is especially valuable:

Swiss lathes / Swiss machining

CNC mills

Precision grinders

CNC turning or lathe machining

Manual machining

Complex CNC setups

Precision manufacturing

Aerospace manufacturing

High-technology manufacturing

Candidates with backgrounds as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, Swiss Machinist, CNC Mill Machinist, CNC Lathe Machinist, Precision Machinist, or Aerospace Machinist are encouraged to apply.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; safely operating manufacturing machinery; performing work requiring manual dexterity and close vision; and lifting up to 50 pounds.
