Wood CNC Maintenance Technician

T.C. Millwork is a leading manufacturer of custom retail fixtures, cabinetry, and commercial millwork. We are seeking an experienced Wood CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team and take responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting our CNC woodworking equipment.

Position Summary

The Wood CNC Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of our CNC machinery and supporting equipment. This position is critical to keeping production running efficiently and minimizing machine downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC routers, point-to-point machines, edge banders, panel saws, and related woodworking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and control system issues.
  • Diagnose machine faults and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Work with operators, programmers, and management to identify and resolve equipment problems.
  • Maintain maintenance records and schedules.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory as needed.
  • Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and equipment improvements.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC maintenance experience in a woodworking or cabinet manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining CNC routers and woodworking machinery is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Experience troubleshooting servo motors, drives, sensors, and CNC controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
