Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide Lost and Found and administrative support to Security leadership.
• Manage, store, organize, and label Lost and Found items. This includes answering phones and assisting guests and team members with resolving Lost and Found items.
• Complete data entry into the iTrack system.
• Assist with Security report writing process (iTrack) by scanning documents into the iTrack system.
• Provide guest assistance as necessary.
• Maintain Lost and Found filing system.
• Attend departmental meetings as necessary.
• Provide the most responsive, knowledgeable and courteous service by protecting not only the property but, also the safety of the guests and team members through observing, reporting and responding.
• Observe all areas inside/outside of the hotel for safety concerns or suspicious circumstances.
• Exercise good judgment, reason and a calm demeanor when approaching a disgruntled individual. In the event of a confrontation, follow the department policies while remaining calm.
• In the event of an emergency or similar situation, take control and instruct fellow co-workers, team members and guests as to the best course of action to take; follow direction from security leadership and give instructions to guests.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Use a personal computer in order to complete reports, correspondence, data entry etc. This includes a working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, AS400, and Microsoft Office Programs.
• Follow up and follow through on a variety of assigned tasks or instructions furnished in written, oral form. Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills are a must.
• Exhibit polite and professional attitude in preparing communications such as memos, e-mail's, invoices, reports and other correspondence.
• Trusted and is seen as a truthful individual who is highly respectful of others.
• Consistently exhibit courteous, respectful, and appropriate communications and presents information in a concise and understandable format.
• Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.
• Meet requirements of regular attendance in order to effectively complete job responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Ability of simple reading, writing, math and complex task completion skills is required.
• Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 1 years' clerical or administrative within security or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
• Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting, occasionally standing, walking, reaching overhead, and bending over during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to push/pull 50lbs or less occasionally and 25lbs or less frequently.
• The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet. Team member will constantly have repetitive use of their dominant hand, occasional use of their non-dominant hand, and constant light grasping motions. Team member will have occasional use of firm/strong grasping motion. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work performed consistently indoors and occasionally outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts in possible confined areas around computer equipment, mechanical equipment, and other electrical devices.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat/cold, vibrations, slippery surfaces, high places, moving objects, fumes/odor and/or secondhand smoke.
