Job description

Director Cancer Care Services - Kootenai Clinic KC Operations     
Join Kootenai Health as our next Cancer Care Director, where you’ll serve as a highly visible, hands-on operations leader driving both strategy and day-to-day excellence across our three cancer care clinic locations. We’re seeking a collaborative, relationship-focused leader who thrives in a “boots-on-the-ground” environment. Someone who is engaged at the front lines, building trust with providers, staff, and partners while ensuring consistent, high-quality care delivery.

As our Cancer Care Director, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and optimizing the performance of Kootenai Clinic Cancer Services, with direct oversight of clinic operations. This role requires strong ground-level operational leadership, balancing big-picture strategy with the ability to stay closely connected to clinic workflows, team dynamics, and patient experience.

You will function within a collaborative leadership structure, partnering closely with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative stakeholders, and reporting to the Kootenai Clinic Division Executive Director.

**Must have Clinical Cancer oversight to be considered**

What you will do!
•    Lead, direct, and inspire high-functioning clinical care teams to exceed the expectations of patients and providers
•    Drive strategies aimed at ensuring strong and sustained service relationships with referring providers
•    Perform day-to-day oversight and direction of clinical operations management staff
•    Serve and collaborates with the clinic leadership team to implement standardized practices consistent with the organization and across locations
•    Direct and acts as coach to managers and supervisors on best practices to serve our patients and most efficiency aid and enhance practice performance
•    Develop and reports on metrics for measuring practice performance internally and against industry benchmarks
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in business, nursing leadership, healthcare administration, public administration or related discipline or completion within 3 years of hire required
•    Minimum 5 years of experience and demonstrated performance in clinical practice management required
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in a professional business environment, preferably in healthcare
•    CMPE or FACMPE certification through Medical Group Management Association preferred
•    Working knowledge of value improvement and management system principles, and experience in leading change
•    Strong knowledge of physician practice financial administration and payer reimbursement
•    Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to plan, implement and manage multiple projects
