Assistant Administrator


POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Administrator is assigned to a Monarch Healthcare Management facility to support the Administrator, be a strong member of the interdisciplinary care planning team and act as the site Administrator, as needed. The Assistant Administrator provides non-clinical support and department head leadership in preparation of becoming an Administrator. Responsibilities of the Assistant Administrator are similar to the Administrator and performed utilizing the National Administrator Board’s (NAB) National Administrator In-Training Program Manual framework. Additional learning opportunities in the NAB’s Domains of Practice must be sought out, including utilization of Sample Learning Activities. It is highly recommended that the Preceptor Training Modules on the NAB’s website are simultaneously completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Current healthcare administration student actively pursuing Administrator license

  • Ability to pass the Minnesota Nursing Home Administration licensing exam within one year of hire

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field

  • Current Minnesota Nursing Home Administration license
