  • Job Title: Lawn Care Technician & Door Knocking Representative

    Location: Lansing, Michigan

    Compensation: 17.50-23HR

    Employment Season:

    • Lawn Care Applications: March – October
    • Door Knocking Outreach: November – February
  • Position Overview:

    We are hiring a dependable, motivated individual for a seasonal, year-round position that offers two distinct roles throughout the year:

    • From March to October, you will work as a Lawn Care Technician, applying fertilizer and weed control products to residential and/or commercial properties.
    • From November to February, you will transition into a Door Knocking Representative, helping generate leads.
  • This is a great fit for someone who enjoys physical, outdoor work during the warm months and engaging with people during the off-season.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Lawn Care Technician (March – October)

    • Apply lawn care treatments including fertilizer, pre/post-emergent weed control, and other turf products
    • Follow scheduled routes and maintain timely service
    • Maintain records of applications and customer interactions
    • Inspect lawns for disease, pest issues, or customer concerns
    • Operate a company vehicle and maintain application equipment
  • Door Knocking Representative (November – February)

  • What You’ll Do
    • Visit residential neighborhoods to distribute flyers and introduce homeowners to Weed Man services
    • Promote special offers and help generate leads for our sales team
    • Communicate professionally and positively with potential customers
    • Track daily activity and report results to your supervisor

  • What We’re Looking For:

    • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
    • Good communication and people skills
    • Willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
    • Comfortable walking for extended periods and lifting 40–50 lbs
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Ability to follow safety procedures and application guidelines
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in lawn care, landscaping, or chemical application
    • Pesticide applicator license (or willingness to obtain – training may be provided)
    • Sales, canvassing, or customer service background
  • Schedule:

    • Lawn Care Season: Monday–Friday, 6AM(some weekends as needed)
    • Door Knocking Season: 8AM-6PM
