Job description

We are seeking an energetic and goal-oriented Outside Sales Representative to expand our residential and commercial lawn care services. In this role, you will prospect new leads, conduct on-site property evaluations, recommend customized treatment plans, and close sales within an assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person consultations, door-to-door prospecting, and territory canvassing to generate new client leads.
  • Evaluate client lawns and landscape needs to pitch tailored services, including fertilization, weed control, pest management, and aeration.
  • Calculate property measurements, prepare quotes, and present proposals directly to homeowners, HOAs, or property managers.
  • Log all client interactions, leads, and sales pipelines in the company CRM.
  • Follow up with potential and active clients to ensure customer satisfaction and pursue upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of successful outside sales or direct-to-consumer sales experience (lawn care or home services preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency using smartphone apps/CRMs for lead tracking.


Starting pay will depend on qualifications at time of hire.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct in-person consultations, door-to-door prospecting, and territory canvassing to generate new client leads.
  • Evaluate client lawns and landscape needs to pitch tailored services, including fertilization, weed control, pest management, and aeration.
  • This position involves physical labor and work outdoors analyzing and treating lawns and landscapes with fertilizers, weed control agents, insect control agents and other products, and performing other beneficial lawn, landscape and soil treatments.
  • Lawn Care Spray Technicians will regularly be exposed to chemicals while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Drive company truck to various customer locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area and operate a variety of powered and non-powered equipment, including hand-held and push spreaders, backpack sprayers, powered hose-end tank sprayers, motorized riding sprayer/spreaders, and aerating machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications made and product used, and complete customer invoice forms with appropriate post-treatment care instructions.
  • Measure lawns and landscapes and accurately price the Company's services using the Company's standard pricing charts, propose beneficial services based on your inspections and analyses of properties, and explain to customers and potential customers the benefits of any proposed course of treatment.
  • Address questions or concerns customers may have concerning conditions affecting their lawns and landscapes, treatments proposed or performed, and other matters concerning their relationship with the Company.
