Bye Bye Birdie, a Division of Select Exterminating, has been providing bird control solutions to commercial clients in the Tri-State area for over 30 years. We specialize in bird control for some of the largest and most prestigious buildings, transportation hubs, and institutions in New York City. If you want to be part of a team that works on iconic locations, this position is for you.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Bird Control Technician to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with their hands, and possess construction or installation experience. You will work with a team to install bird control systems and ensure that our commercial clients are receiving top-notch service.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain bird control systems on various commercial properties
  • Work with a variety of tools and materials, performing hands-on construction and installation tasks
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and on high rooftops or elevated surfaces
  • MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO JOB SITES WITHIN ANY OF THE 5 BOROUGHS. COMPANY VEHICLES ARE PROVIDED BASED ON AVAILABILITY.

Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with your hands (construction experience is a plus)
  • Comfortable working at heights, includingclimbing ladders and working on rooftops
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb a 40-foot ladder
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively with others

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid NYS Driverโ€™s License (Required)
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification (REQUIRED)
  • Aerial Boom Certification (Training provided)
