The firm emphasizes disciplined capital deployment, repeatable processes, and robust risk controls to generate durable, risk-adjusted returns across crypto market cycles.
Role Description
We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead hedge-fundโ€“style crypto trading strategies under a U.S.-based mandate. This role carries full responsibility for portfolio construction, capital allocation, risk management, and P&L outcomes across spot and derivative digital-asset markets.
The role is designed for a senior investment professional capable of operating independently, managing leverage responsibly, and navigating volatile crypto markets within defined governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

Own capital allocation, position sizing, leverage utilization, and drawdown management.
Identify and exploit inefficiencies related to liquidity, volatility, funding rates, and market structure.
Manage portfolio exposure dynamically across bull, bear, and stressed market regimes.
Oversee execution quality, liquidity management, and counterparty exposure.
Produce institutional-grade performance attribution, risk reporting, and portfolio commentary.
Operate within risk and governance standards aligned with Bird Software Solutions' investment framework.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing crypto hedge fund or proprietary trading portfolios with direct P&L responsibility.
Deep understanding of crypto market structure, derivatives, funding dynamics, and liquidity behavior.
Demonstrated ability to manage leverage and control downside risk in high-volatility environments.
Experience operating portfolios through prolonged drawdowns and regime shifts.
Strong analytical capability and familiarity with portfolio and risk management tools.
High accountability, independent judgment, and disciplined execution mindset.
Ability to clearly communicate strategy, performance, and risk to senior stakeholders.
Experience working within hedge fund, proprietary trading, or performance-driven environments is a strong advantage.
This is a remote role; however, candidates must be U.S. citizens and authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What We Offer
Annual compensation: $185,000 โ€“ $275,000 base salary, plus performance-based incentives directly tied to hedge fund P&L and risk-adjusted returns.
Fully remote role within the United States.
Full ownership of hedge-fundโ€“style crypto portfolio strategy and execution.
Opportunity to scale capital within a performance-driven digital-asset trading operation.
Alignment with institutional governance and disciplined risk management.
Upside linked directly to sustained portfolio performance.
