ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Design Production Clerk is primarily responsible for assembling gift design items for stores. Assembling weddings and events favors according to what the customer has chosen. Assembling gift baskets and gift boxes according to pre-designed prototypes. This role requires close attention to detail, a strong team-first attitude, and active support of the department's lean, continuous improvement culture, including a willingness to be trained on new methods and to support other departments as business needs require.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create labels, have them double-checked for accuracy, and input data into the computerized inventory system with close attention to detail.

2. Assist with physical inventory.

3. Assist with manufacturing wedding and event Orders.

4. Assist customers on the phone if the lead designer is not in the room.

5. Assemble design items for the stores, Make labels have labels double-checked for accuracy. Sticker design items pack designs in boxes and sticker boxes for store shipments.

6. Tie bows and use sealer to make shrinkable plastic and use heat gun to shrink wrap gift baskets and design items.

7. Assemble gift boxes and baskets according to the prototype. Make labels have labels double-checked for accuracy sticker box for stores and or internet

8. Follow GMP and HACCP regulations.

9. Follow all safety rules and procedures.

10. Perform daily and weekly cleanup duties along with various light janitorial duties.

11. Support other departments periodically as needed, readily shifting tasks and priorities to help wherever the business requires.

12. Actively contribute to lean and continuous improvement efforts by identifying waste, suggesting process improvements, and helping implement more efficient ways of working.

13. Accept training, coaching, and changes to processes or instructions without difficulty or complaint, and apply new methods accurately and consistently.

14. Work collaboratively and communicate openly with teammates, fostering a cooperative, team-first environment focused on shared production goals.

Requirements:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Skill and Ability: demonstrated computer skills, Excel experience preferred; demonstrated creative, artistic and design abilities (previous floral design experience preferred); good sense of color and balance; strong attention to detail and accuracy; organizational and time management skills; mathematical accuracy; customer service experience; ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, training, and instructions.

2. Tools, Equipment or Machinery Used: scissors, wire cutters, sealer, tape gun, heat gun, box cutters.

3. Minimum Physical Requirements: stand, lift up to 30 lbs, bend, stoop, climb, kneel, see, hear, stand for prolonged periods of time; raise arms above shoulder height; handle or feel objects and tools; grasp, pull, turn.

4. Personal Qualities: commitment to excellence, quality, and accuracy of output; strong attention to detail; team-oriented with a collaborative and cooperative approach to work; flexible and willing to support other departments as needed; receptive to training, coaching, and process changes, accepting them without difficulty or complaint; reliability, attendance, and punctuality; initiative, alertness, and sound judgment; commitment to lean principles and a continuous improvement mindset.
