Job description

Garry Weber APP Urology Fellowship Opportunity - SURGICAL Track

Are you wanting to practice to your fullest potential? Does a mentoring relationship with experienced PAs and world class Urologists interest you? The Garry Weber APP Urology Fellowship Program may be what you are looking for!

Established in 2011, our 12-month program will provide you with a vast and diverse exposure to the field of Urology. Your training will include inpatient management, outpatient clinic activities, first assist training in the OR, and urologic procedure training. Didactic activities included weekly conferences, Grand Rounds, monthly journal clubs, and various CME conferences.

The Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is a leader in patient care, in research, and in educating the physicians of tomorrow. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks us among the best urology departments in the nation in its annual hospital rankings.

If urology training is what you are looking for, but you do not have the appropriate certifications for the operating room or working in surgery is not a passion for you, please consider our Garry Weber APP Urology Fellowship CLINICAL ONLY track; where you will get the same urologic education and experience, with a focus on clinical work.

Program Strengths

The second section allows growing autonomy with first assisting during robotic cases at Clements University Hospital. In addition, the APP will see and manage patients at our state-of-the art ambulatory care clinic and at Clements University Hospital.

The APP is expected to attend and actively participate in weekly Urology Pre-Op conferences and Grand Rounds, monthly Urology Journal Clubs, the annual Paul C. Peters Urology Symposium hosted by the Urology Department, and various other educational activities throughout the year.
