The Senior Software Developer/Analyst for Productivity Applications will plan, analyze, evaluate, design, implement and support software and technology-based solutions to support the business objectives of the company. They will also provide software-focused enterprise-wide solutions primarily directed towards maintaining and improving internal team productivity as well as software support for our e-commerce team. Additionally, they will apply state-of-the-art solutions to continually improve customized company productivity enhancing applications. They will work in a small team environment with most solutions developed independently.

Requirements:

Responsible for design and development of a variety of new productivity tools to improve ADC teamers efficiency and job satisfaction as well as provide support, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications

Participate in evaluation/selection of future technologies and development tools

Must have a strong desire to stay current, learn and apply new technologies and concepts

Take tasks as assigned by Team Lead and research, gather options, analyze results, and propose solutions back to the team

Responsible for contributing to the ongoing improvement of the teams processes and development practices

Development, testing and updates to unit, functional and integration tests

Responsible for ensuring quality and suitability of deliverables

Collaborate with team members and internal customers to define and specify effective solutions

Capable of taking a solution from concept to reality individually or within the team setting

Evaluate, select, and provide enterprise solutions to improve company functions

Qualifications

Minimum B.S. in Computer Science (or related B.S. degree) with 5 years or more of web development experience OR Programming oriented A.S. degree with 10 years or more of web development

Minimum of 5 years of experience developing applications using Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Web Services, REST) and exposure to MVC

Minimum of 2 years of experience with relational databases using JDBC and SQL

Minimum of 2 years recent experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, Web browsers)

Experience with agile development methodologies (Kanban)

Strong working knowledge of version control systems. Git is preferred

Instinct and ability to develop good UI designs

Must be a self-motivated, self-starter to succeed in this position

Recommended:

Experience with integration of Web based systems with product information management backend systems

Experience with Application Servers (Tomcat)

Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, JUnit)

Experience with Web development for mobile platforms

Familiarity with IBM DB2 and SQL Server

Working knowledge of Linux or other *nix systems

Experience with at least one JavaScript library (Prototype, jQuery, YUI, or similar)

Experience with Hibernate

Experience with Spring Framework
