Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Waterfront Test Manager with a secret clearance and 3 years of HM&E maintenance, testing & repair experience to join our team in Norfolk, VA
Responsibilities
  • Provide Waterfront Test Manager / Test Coordinator support services to NSWC-PD Department 20 Machinery Programs and Platforms for Surface Ships.
  • Coordinate the execution of NSWC-PD test procedures across varying shifts for personnel safety
  • Coordinate shipyard test support amongst NSWC-PD Codes
  • Interface with shipyard test management personnel
  • Provide weekly status reports per CDRL A001
  • Specialize in Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Provide daily support and interface of the following activities:
  • Shipboard Systems Safety Plans with in-depth knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO).
  • Shipboard Testing with in-depth knowledge of the Shipboard WAF process and eSOMS system
  • Quality Assurance Issues
  • Schedule and Dashboard Development and Maintenance
  • Assisting with Data Calls
  • Modernization-related travel plans for waterfront support
  • Deliverables
  • Action items
  • Provide meeting support

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED along with graduate of a military school which demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation OR
  • A graduate of a trade, industrial or correspondence school for engineering and have 19 years of Navy Surface ship experience with a minimum of three (3) years experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E equipment installed on US Navy Surface Ships or Submarines
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
