Job Description

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to support planning and execution of large-scale IT operational fleet (shipboard) projects. This position will be a contract and onsite in Miramar, FL.

Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Support planning of large-scale IT operational fleet projects from inception through handoff to the Deployment Team

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and IT stakeholders

  • Manage expectations, scope definition, scope changes, and documentation

  • Assist with budget validation, procurement processes, and vendor coordination

  • Participate in design discussions and ensure proper documentation and sign-offs

  • Communicate with senior leadership through meetings and formal presentations

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines

  • Align project deliverables with IT strategic technology and process goals

  • Support logistics planning and execution for complex IT deployments

  • Contribute to a collaborative, IT culture-driven team environment

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in project management

  • Understanding of project methodologies in a Waterfall environment

  • Familiarity with enterprise technologies and their applications

  • Strong communication skills, including presentations and stakeholder management

  • Experience with procurement processes and vendor coordination

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex project scopes

  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt within a complex project environment

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10–20%

Preferred:

  • PMP certification

  • Previous shipboard or maritime experience

  • Experience working on large, complex IT projects

  • Leadership capabilities including team building, coaching, and performance support

  • Ability to lead by example within an IT culture-driven environment
