Job Description and DutiesThis role will support the work of the Deputy Director of Government Affairs in advising the Director of the Public Advocates Office on issues related to state policy and budget. This will include conducting policy analyses, preparing reports on legislation and state budget issues, and preparing recommendations and advising on energy, telecommunications, broadband, and water policy.
Working ConditionsThis position requires travel.
This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
Desirable Qualifications- Familiarity with California's state legislative processes and policy issues that impact utility customers including energy policy, telecommunications and broadband policy, and water policy.
- Strong verbal, writing persuasion, and analytical skills.
