Job description

Job Summary

 This position will help cultivate the brand image of St. Joe Hospitality’s Resorts portfolio (hotels, restaurants, and resort amenities) by managing various aspects of the company’s marketing and public relations strategies across major channels, including social media, digital, email, media relations, and brand partnerships. This role requires a high level of creativity, excellent writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and project management skills.  Our ideal candidate is a driven team player that excels in a fast pace and high growth working environment. 

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of awareness, promotional, and seasonal marketing campaigns across multiple resort brands and marketing channels.
  • Create and deploy email marketing campaigns and promotional e-blasts.
  • Coordinate special marketing initiatives, including photo and video shoots, promotional events, media events, and presentations.
  • Manage all third-party updates and listings.
  • Serve as a liaison with the company's contracted public relations agency, coordinating media stays, facilitating press visits, fulfilling agency requests, and supporting earned media opportunities that enhance brand awareness and visibility.
  • Identifying and implementing cross-promotional opportunities across resort properties, outlets, amenities, and company brands. Concentrating on independent brands within the resort portfolio- such as Scratch, Fish Out of Water, and Havana Beach.
  • Research and recommend programming, packages, and offerings that support business and marketing objectives.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key departments and operational teams.
  • Attend designated resort events, internal and external meetings as required, and coordinate follow-up on assigned action items.
  • Maintain knowledge of all St. Joe Hospitality facilities, services, operating hours, promotions, and upcoming events.
  • Comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.

Content, Digital & Creative Management

  • Directly own, manage, PR agency initiatives. 
  • Own & manage website content and third-party listings, ensuring all information, imagery, and messaging remain accurate, current, and engaging.
  • Develop & Manage marketing collateral requests, including event flyers, menus, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  • Create and proofread marketing copy and collaborate with freelance designers, creative agencies, and internal stakeholders to develop collateral, digital assets, and advertising campaigns.
  • Coordinate content for social media efforts across resort brands by assisting with content collection, creating and managing Facebook events, coordinating content needs with on-property teams, and providing support to the Social Media Manager as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date image library for marketing, public relations, and promotional use.
  • Maintain the accuracy of resort marketing databases and related content management systems.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or four years or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing and/or communications.
  • Minimum of five years of related marketing experience in hospitality, weddings, events, tourism, or luxury brands preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and lead generation strategies.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,) and Adobe products.
  • Excellent communication/organizational skills required, including oral, written and presenting and responding to information from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public.
  • Excellent guest/customer service skills required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel between properties as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to frequently type and remain seated at a desk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, climb stairs, and drive between locations as business needs require.
  • Must be able to occasionally bend, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform overhead reaching.
  • May occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and varying noise levels.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
