We have a career opportunity for a Operations Coordinator I to join our team!

The successful candidate will perform various administrative, clerical, financial and other support duties in the Water Operations Division. Provides support to managers, supervisors, union and non-union staff. Interacts with payroll and financial systems to support department functions. Independently maintains department records as assigned.

**This position is located at Citizens Energy Group at 2406 Hudnut Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 462251.     On-site 5 days a week.

Minimum Salary: $48,800 (Grade 5)


  • Perform administrative work to support employees and management in Water Operations Departments.
  • Verify time reporting for department personnel. Assist with resolution of time and pay issues. Coordinate with EBS and WAM, etc. support personnel and payroll as needed to resolve issues.
  • Compiles and maintains department records. May include personnel records, utility records, and financial information.
  • Coordinate department meetings. Prepare agendas, document and distribute minutes. Follow-up on notification of assignments and meeting requests.
  • Track Union vacations and personal days following the union contract. Track some non-union scheduled and unscheduled absences. Provide information to management.
  • Maintain department records as assigned: may include employee license records (WT5, WT3, DSL, Class B, etc., CDLs, DOT); safety records; training records, etc. Notify employees when license renewal or updates are required.
  • Planning and coordinating events and meetings.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite, Outlook, Oracle, enterprise software, other Citizens-specific software and             internal website administration.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license.
 
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work in a Bachelor’s program preferred to include: HR, Accounting,                   Purchasing/Procurement, and/or Organizational Behavior.
  • Requires general knowledge of the methods, techniques, and principles associated with the Water Operations Division.
