Our Sand Springs facility is expanding, and we’re looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving operations, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional who wants the autonomy to lead a growing facility while working directly with executive leadership.
Position Summary:
The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Sand Springs facility.
This is a working manager position. You’ll lead the team, train employees, oversee drivers and material handlers, manage inventory and compliance, and step onto the production floor whenever needed to support daily operations.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you’ll play a key role in improving operational performance, safety, customer service, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations

  • Manage all daily facility operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Support company growth through strong leadership and execution.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain training records, inspection logs, manifests, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as the facility’s primary compliance contact.

Driver & Fleet Management

  • Supervise CDL drivers and daily route execution.
  • Monitor DOT compliance and Hours of Service.
  • Ensure drivers have manifests, work orders, equipment, and supplies before departure.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and coaching drivers.
  • Provide emergency route coverage when necessary (preferred).

Warehouse & Material Handling

  • Supervise 2–3 material handlers.
  • Oversee container preparation, waste processing, truck loading and unloading.
  • Operate and train employees on forklifts, skid steers, screw press equipment, and holding tanks.
  • Monitor attendance, staffing, productivity, and employee development.
  • Lead by example with hands-on support when needed.

Route Preparation

  • Prepare weekly manifests using Google Sheets.
  • Verify customer waste profiles in Salesforce.
  • Print work orders and route documentation.
  • Ensure trucks are loaded correctly and depart on schedule.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of clean containers for all routes.

Inventory & Logistics

  • Manage inventory levels of absorbent products and operational supplies.
  • Perform monthly inventory counts.
  • Coordinate outbound disposal shipments with approved vendors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and logistics documentation.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Review employee expense reports.
  • Organize fuel receipts and trip reports for quarterly IFTA reporting.
  • Maintain complete operational records supporting regulatory compliance.

Facility & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate HVAC, electrical, equipment repair, grounds maintenance, and outside vendors.
  • Ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, and well maintained.

Training & Team Development

  • Train employees on equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Develop a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate proper operation of all facility equipment and provide hands-on leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • 3+ years of facility management, warehouse management, manufacturing, environmental services, logistics, or industrial operations experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or similar industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Sheets.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Technology savvy with the ability to learn new software platforms.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as operational needs require.

Preferred:

  • Fleet management or GPS/telematics experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude including welding, fabrication, hydraulics, light truck and trailer maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Why Join CRI?
At CRI Environmental Solutions, you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact instead of becoming another manager inside a large corporation.
You’ll work directly with company leadership, have real decision-making authority, build your own team, and help lead a facility that is positioned for continued growth.
If you’re a hands-on leader who enjoys improving operations, developing people, and building efficient, safe workplaces, we’d love to hear from you.
