In this role, you will use advanced computer-aided design (CAD) tools and data-management systems to create and optimize vehicle exterior designs that meet styling, engineering, packaging, and manufacturing requirements.This role follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires onsite work in Warren, Michigan, in accordance with GM’s hybrid work policy.## Key Responsibilities* Design and develop bumper, fascia, grille, and trim components from concept through production.* Create 3D models and assemblies using NX CAD software.* Manage and maintain design data in Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring data integrity, configuration control, and version management.* Consider manufacturing requirements and processes, including extrusion, injection molding, stamping, and machining, during design development.* Conduct virtual integration and visualization mockups to evaluate design feasibility, appearance, packaging, and vehicle integration.* Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.* Prepare and present design concepts, technical specifications, and status updates using Microsoft Office applications.* Troubleshoot design and integration issues and develop effective solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product design processes and tools.## Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, design engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.* Experience designing or developing automotive exterior components, particularly bumpers, fascias, grilles, or trim.* Advanced proficiency with NX or comparable CAD software.* Experience using Siemens Teamcenter or a comparable product data-management system.* Working knowledge of extrusion, injection molding, stamping, and machining processes.* Experience with virtual integration, visualization mockups, or comparable digital vehicle-integration tools.* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.**GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
