Job description

The United City Residency exists to help men and women discern God's calling and be equipped for long-term faithfulness in ministry. Whether you're exploring what ministry could look like or stepping fully into your calling, we offer multiple pathways designed to meet you where you are-and help you grow into who God is shaping you to become.

Program Pathways
  1. Residency - A two-year, immersive ministry experience designed for those preparing for vocational church leadership. Residents receive hands-on ministry experience, weekly training, and intentional mentoring from seasoned church leaders, all while serving and leading within the life of United City Church.
  2. Apprenticeship - A one-year, high-investment program for men and women who are exploring or sensing a call to church ministry. Apprentices gain practical ministry experience while receiving focused development, coaching, and spiritual formation.
  3. Summer Internship - A ten-week summer experience for high school grads and college students interested in tangible ministry experience. We believe God is calling college students into full-time ministry, and this internship offers a meaningful introduction to what life and leadership in the local church can look like.

In this application, you will go through a series of phases:

  2. Ministry Assessment - Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be sent an email with a link to complete your Ministry Assessment, a ~60-minute questionnaire covering topics related to being a ministry worker.
  3. Local Assessment - The local supervisor(s) for this position will review your application, potentially reaching out to conduct an interview.
    • Upon provisional acceptance, you will register for support-raising training run by Reliant to start your support-based ministry journey.
