Job description

Operations Manager
Location: Onsite / Hybrid Montreal (St. Laurent)
Our client, a global importer, exporter, and distributor with more than 20 years in branded products and fast-moving consumer goods, is hiring an Operations Manager to own the full commercial and operational cycle. This is a senior, cross-functional seat for someone who thrives on both sides of the deal: negotiating supply and sales terms, protecting margin, and keeping purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and internal teams moving in sync.
You will own supplier relationships and customer negotiations alike, with direct accountability for sourcing costs, sales growth, and margin. Day to day, you will monitor stock, anticipate demand, and manage purchase and sales orders end to end, making sure pricing, quantities, and documentation are accurate on every transaction. You will direct inventory control and month-end reconciliation, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and partner with warehouses on receiving, storage, and fulfillment.
Just as important, you will build the systems behind the work: reports and dashboards tracking purchasing, sales, inventory, and margin, plus process improvements and automation that cut errors and save time. You will be the central link between suppliers, customers, warehouses, and internal teams, and you will supervise and develop the support staff who keep orders flowing.
You bring proven experience in operations, purchasing, sales, or trading with some team oversight, sharp negotiation instincts on both the buy and sell sides, advanced Excel, and a bias toward process improvement. English required; French is an asset.
