Job description

Location: Pointe-Claire, QC

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Pay Rate: $25.09/hour

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment. The successful candidate will assist with supervising warehouse staff, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing inventory, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily warehouse operations and workflow
  • Supervise warehouse associates, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving staff
  • Coordinate inbound, outbound, and storage activities
  • Monitor dock activity and warehouse productivity
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counts
  • Train and support employees on procedures and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and office staff
  • Support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Help resolve operational issues, delays, and inventory discrepancies


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume warehouse environment
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory management
  • Experience using WMS systems and RF scanners
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or cross-docking is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a must


Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation (no public transit available for this shift)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Responsabilités principales

  • Assister à la gestion des opérations quotidiennes de l’entrepôt
  • Superviser les employés d’entrepôt, les caristes et les équipes d’expédition/réception
  • Coordonner les activités de réception, d’expédition et d’entreposage
  • Assurer le suivi de la productivité et des activités aux quais
  • Participer au contrôle des inventaires et aux décomptes cycliques
  • Former et soutenir les employés sur les procédures et les normes de sécurité
  • Veiller au respect des politiques de santé et sécurité au travail
  • Collaborer avec les chauffeurs, les clients et le personnel administratif
  • Participer au suivi des indicateurs de performance (KPI)
  • Contribuer à l’amélioration continue des opérations
  • Aider à résoudre les problèmes opérationnels, les retards et les écarts d’inventaire


Exigences:

  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans un entrepôt à haut volume
  • Expérience en supervision ou en gestion d’équipe fortement souhaitée
  • Bonne connaissance des opérations d’entrepôt, de l’expédition/réception et de la gestion des inventaires
  • Expérience avec les systèmes WMS et les scanners RF
  • Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement rapide et sous pression
  • Expérience dans les domaines du transport, de la logistique ou du cross-docking (atout)
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) considéré comme un atout
  • Conditions obligatoires
  • Détenir un permis de conduire valide
  • Posséder un véhicule fiable pour se rendre au travail
  • Aucune option de transport en commun n’est disponible pour cet horaire
  • Être légalement autorisé à travailler au Canada
  • Disponible pour travailler du lundi au vendredi de 17 h à 2 h
