Job description

Acme Distribution has been a leading provider of supply chain, warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and logistics management services in Denver since 1947. We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our Distribution Center team. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who excels at delivering exceptional client service, managing customer orders, and ensuring a positive overall experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent client service through phone, email, and in-person communication
  • Manage direct-to-customer orders using multiple systems, email, and phone correspondence
  • Verify, maintain, and audit issue tracker entries related to vendor appointments, shipment quality, reports, damage, and third-party labor delivery issues
  • Meet or exceed all performance metrics and assist clients in resolving issues
  • Establish and maintain direct communication with internal and external customers
  • Ensure all client information is current and up to date
  • Coordinate with supervisors in customer service and operations departments to handle accounts accurately and efficiently
  • Perform accurate ten-key calculations and data entry
  • Process paperwork for shipping and receiving of assigned accounts
  • Assist on the floor when needed and perform other assigned tasks
  • Abide by GMP and Food Safety/Quality regulations set by the company
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in common office applications
  • Quick learner with the ability to ask questions
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize own workload
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • PC literate with proficient knowledge of MS Office Suites (Windows, Word, and Excel)
  • Strong critical thinking and proactive resolution skills
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data from multiple accounts
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to establish and meet goals
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • This is somewhat a sedentary role. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 15 lbs may at times be expected. 
  • Specific vision abilities may be required for this role.  These abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, as well as good depth perception.
  • Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.  
  • You will need to be able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch when needed. 
  • Repetitive movements are a big part of our environment, so you will need to be able to use your hands and feet simultaneously.
  • This is a warehouse environment, so it consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
  • If you are operating Industrial Lift Equipment, you will need to be able to get on and off the equipment on a regular basis.  Certain equipment may expose you to heights as well.
  • There can be exposure to loud noises and dust.
  • You will have regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving equipment.
