Overview

Warehouse Specialist (EAGLE 2026-25340):

 

Bowhead seeks a Warehouse Specialist to support the ammunition supply point in Aberdeen, MD. The Warehouse Specialist performs warehouse duties within the ASP in accordance with Army policies, procedures, directives, and regulations.

This contract is governed by a CBA, and as such, any employee accepting employment on this contract will be required to join the CBA within 30 days of beginning employment. 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Routes, stores, stocks, or palletizes materials to the correct storage locations and in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • Assists in taking inventory of all stored materials.
  • Loads, unloads, and stores ammunition and ammunition components in magazines.
  • Inspects stored materials while ensuring all damage and/or deterioration is reported appropriately.
  • Locates and packages materials for shipping as needed.
  • Operates vehicles, hand and forklift trucks in the normal course of operations.
  • Cleans magazines and adjacent areas.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years' experience in warehouse inventory, record filing, and packaging duties.
  • A clearance for unaccompanied access to Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E).
  • Must possess a valid State-issued CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement and be able to obtain/maintain a forklift license.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift/carry/push/slide up to 50 pounds routinely, up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Bend, squat, stoop, crouch, balance, and lean.
  • Walk within various ammunition storage sites (magazines, bunkers, etc.).
  • Re-palletize equipment, handle odd-sized freight, and manually apply shrink wrap.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to work in a low-light environment.
  • Exposure to various munitions, rockets, and propellants.
  • Exposure to changes in cold and hot temperatures.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required.  Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
