Job description

The Dead End Hayride is seeking to hire a motivated Costume Attendant to join our team for the maintenance and laundering of all show costumes and uniforms, and assists with the assembly, operation and disassembly in the dressing of character performers.
The Dead End Hayride is an interactive Haunted Attraction. We strive to provide our attendees Minnesota's Ultimate Horror Experience and a full night out of entertainment.
The Dead End Hayride has a culture where ideas, innovation, and a fun environment are expected and appreciated. Employees with high-energy, a high level of customer service, willing to learn new skills, and open to new experiences will thrive.
Duties include any and all of the following categories but are not limited to:
  • Actively participate in the upkeep of all wardrobe equipment, dressing rooms and costumes pertaining to the wardrobe department and other equipment assigned to the department.
  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining all costumes related to the Costuming Department.
  • Responsible for following the rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by "The Dead End Hayride".
  • Responsible for accepting all other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:
  • Related experience, or combination of training and/or education in Costuming as it relates to live performances.
  • Knowledge of sewing machines, the uses and different applications.
  • Ability to hand sew.
  • Understanding of fabrics and specific laundry and dry-cleaning needs of each specific fabric type.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs., stand for 2 hours
  • Availability to work extended hours nights and weekends dependent upon business demands.
  • Must be dedicated, reliable and punctual.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional behavior towards co-workers at all times.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and be a team player.
