Job description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a National Account Manager: Walmart near Bentonville, Arkansas. The National Account Manager/eComm Lead is responsible for building and developing strategic customer relationships with Walmart Corp Buyers and leading the overall Omni Channel strategy at Walmart. This role requires proactive identification, planning, and communication with Walmart Corporate and Sales Operations in the retail environment to drive sales and expand in core Salty Snacks as well as additional categories. The manager must demonstrate the ability to plan and implement strategic direction from the VP, translating it into actionable tactics with the customer to grow the business. Responsibilities include effective communication and navigation as Walmart transitions to Omni Channel operations. The position leverages relationships to develop three key areas: Brick and Mortar, Click and Collect, and Online. These activities support Utz brand building and the achievement of increased revenue and profit.
Responsibilities
  • Build brand equity and profitably increase the sales volume on all assigned brands.
  • Achieve assigned sales quota through the partnership and collaboration with the Walmart buying team.
  • Develop and execute strategic roadmaps and action to achieve our overall eCommerce vision and goals.
  • Develop sales growth in the assigned market with working with Walmart Sales operations VP's, Market Managers and Store leadership.
  • Balance, promote and leverage Utz solutions to meet our customers' needs via DTW and DSD.
  • Fully leverage Trade System (BluePlanner) to plan investments, forecast volume and build optimized trade programming, investment and forecasts. Deliver trade budget.
  • Identify opportunities to maintain and expand distribution on existing business and find unique opportunities for incremental sales and profit utilizing internal systems and IRI.
  • Build strong cross functional partnerships internally, and consistently share best practices.
  • Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directions for the fulfillment of company objectives.
  • Work with VP on sales forecast by account to drive accurate financial and production planning working with the Revenue management team.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and expense reports as required.
  • Prepare and submit special reports, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions, as may be requested by management or as observed in the marketplace.
  • Represent the company with effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Ensure observance of safe work practices to include the immediate work area, visits to customer sites and operation of a vehicle used for company business.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in national account management, sales, or eCommerce roles within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large retail accounts, preferably with Walmart or other major national retailers.
  • Experience leading Omni Channel strategy, including Brick and Mortar, Click and Collect, and Online channels.
  • Strong background in trade promotion, retail sales forecasting, and use of syndicated data sources (e.g., IRI, Nielsen).
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with senior-level retail partners.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
  • Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities; proficiency with trade management and planning tools (e.g., BluePlanner).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable learning new digital sales platforms.
  • Ability to travel as required for customer meetings and company events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required; MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
