Job Title: VPM Functional Consultant / VPM BA
Location: Remote (Canada or USA)
Job Type: Contract / Full Time
Experience: 6-10 years
Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Functional Consulting professional to join their Trading and Asset Services - Back Office practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in investment valuation, performance measurement, and implementation of investment accounting platforms such as Eagle STAR or VPM.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive functional discovery, requirements analysis, and solution design for VPM implementations
  • Produce high-quality functional deliverables including BRDs, FSDs, and configuration designs
  • Partner with Technical Consultants to ensure accurate data mapping, integrations, and end-to-end solution integrity
  • Provide functional leadership during SIT, UAT, and go-live phases including issue triage and resolution
  • Support production cutover, validation, and post-go-live hypercare
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including functional solutioning, effort estimation, and SoW inputs
  • Collaborate with Product, Development, and Practice leadership to surface product gaps and enhancement needs
Required Skills
  • Functional expertise in investment valuation and performance measurement concepts
  • Experience with General Ledger, Trial Balance, Mutual/Hedge Fund processing, and Fund onboarding/conversions
  • Implementation experience with investment accounting platforms such as Eagle STAR, VPM, or equivalent
  • Strong BRD and FSD documentation skills
  • Experience leading SIT, UAT, and go-live phases
Preferred Skills
  • Pre-sales and effort estimation experience
  • Experience with back-office trading and asset services
  • Familiarity with data mapping and system integration processes
