About the Company

We are a well-established, nationally recognized company in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, serving both retail and direct-to-consumer channels. As part of a strategic operational transformation, we are investing heavily in our supply chain and distribution capabilities—upgrading facilities, integrating robotics and AI, and modernizing our approach to leadership and team culture.

Position Summary

Based in Charlotte, NC, the Vice President of Distribution will lead our multi-site warehouse operations across the U.S., driving performance, scalability, and innovation across the network. This is a strategic transformation role with responsibility for optimizing national distribution capabilities while leading major infrastructure upgrades and implementing new technologies, including AI-driven systems, warehouse automation, and robotics.

This executive will shape a modern, data-informed distribution environment that delivers speed, flexibility, and efficiency while fostering a strong, values-driven culture across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and optimize daily operations across multiple U.S. distribution centers, ensuring excellence in safety, service, productivity, and cost control.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse performance: inventory, receiving, fulfillment, shipping, labor, and KPI alignment.
  • Drive consistency and accountability across locations by implementing standardized processes and reporting systems.

Facility Modernization & Automation

  • Lead the planning and execution of facility upgrades to improve efficiency, capacity, and environmental standards.
  • Assess, select, and implement robotics, goods-to-person automation, conveyor systems, and other technologies to optimize throughput and labor.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors on warehouse layout redesign and capital project execution.

Technology & AI Integration

  • Modernize the technology stack through WMS upgrades, AI-powered labor planning, and real-time operational analytics.
  • Leverage data science and predictive tools to enhance decision-making across inventory management, workforce planning, and order prioritization.
  • Align tech strategy with business goals to create a smarter, more responsive distribution network.

Culture & Talent Development

  • Build a high-performance, people-first culture within distribution teams that emphasizes safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop a network of site-level leaders, ensuring strong coaching, succession planning, and frontline leadership development.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across warehouse operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with leaders in Transportation, Supply Chain, Customer Service, IT, and Finance to align distribution execution with broader business goals.
  • Serve as a strategic voice in operational planning, network expansion, and enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles across multi-site networks.
  • Proven experience in the CPG industry or other high-volume, consumer-facing sectors.
  • Track record of leading facility upgrades, automation initiatives, and technology integrations at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution KPIs, labor planning, WMS, and warehouse financials.

Preferred

  • Experience implementing or managing robotics, AMRs, or AI-enabled planning tools.
  • Background in cultural transformation and change management within operational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or professional certifications (APICS, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.

Travel Requirements

Up to 40% travel to distribution centers nationwide.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $185K–$230K
