We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our team in Hanover, MD, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development. This is a key leadership role driving growth within a respected, employeeโ€‘owned, missionโ€‘focused organization.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead and support teaming discussions, strategy development, solutioning sessions, and storyboard/annotated outline creation
  • Develop detailed capture plans that translate customer needs into compelling, differentiated solution elements
  • Build a comprehensive picture of the competitive landscape, including direct engagement with potential partners and competitors
  • Mentor and train personnel involved in proposal developmentโ€”writers, SMEs, consultants, and supporting staffโ€”providing handsโ€‘on guidance
  • Contribute directly to solution development throughout active proposal efforts
  • Serve as proposal manager for highโ€‘visibility or strategic opportunities, ensuring clear strategy, strong execution, and compelling responses
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communications, Writing, Journalism, Political Science, or a technical discipline
  • 10+ years of proposal or capture experience, including 2+ years developing or supporting technical solutions
  • Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred; customer badge access desired
  • Ability to work nonโ€‘standard and extended hours as needed
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate group solution sessions
  • Demonstrated problemโ€‘solving ability and a proactive, canโ€‘do mindset
  • Shipley Capture Certification or equivalent strongly preferred
Pay Range

There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
