Job description

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
Licensure: Current RN licensure with Oklahoa State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
Experience: 3 years RN experience
Certification/Registration: BLS
Other Skills: Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
