Job description

G4 Construction Services LLC is a general contractor based in Rochester, New York, specializing in residential and commercial building, renovation, and remodeling projects. The company is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship from initial planning through project completion, with a focus on efficiency, strong attention to detail, and client satisfaction.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records to support the company’s overall financial health and decision-making.
  • Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collection efforts.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and bank statements.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to record and track financial activity.
  • Assist with tax return preparation and provide support during external audits.
  • Monitor and track project-related expenses to support budgeting and cost control.
  • Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the integrity and efficiency of daily financial operations.
  • Assist with similar duties and responsibilities at affiliate companies.
  • Provide administrative and customer service support for affiliated businesses, including our self-storage operations. Responsibilities may include coordinating new tenant enrollments, facilitating unit showings, processing move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring accurate account setup and closeout.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is required.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (5 years of experience), preferably within the construction or real estate industries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other bookkeeping software required; experience with additional accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and tax processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $25.00 - $32.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
