Job description
G4 Construction Services LLC is a general contractor based in Rochester, New York, specializing in residential and commercial building, renovation, and remodeling projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records to support the company’s overall financial health and decision-making.
- Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Assist with accounts receivable collection efforts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and bank statements.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to record and track financial activity.
- Assist with tax return preparation and provide support during external audits.
- Monitor and track project-related expenses to support budgeting and cost control.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the integrity and efficiency of daily financial operations.
- Assist with similar duties and responsibilities at affiliate companies.
- Provide administrative and customer service support for affiliated businesses, including our self-storage operations. Responsibilities may include coordinating new tenant enrollments, facilitating unit showings, processing move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring accurate account setup and closeout.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is required.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (5 years of experience), preferably within the construction or real estate industries.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other bookkeeping software required; experience with additional accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and tax processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $25.00 - $32.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
