NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Mobile QA Automation Engineer (Swift & Kotlin) to join our team in WestLake, Texas.

Location: Westlake, Texas/ Durham, North Carolina. (Hybrid - work from client office every alternate week (all five days))

Overall Experience: 6-9 Years

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile QA Automation Engineer to lead our native app testing efforts. You will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks for both iOS and Android platforms. Your primary expertise must include native development languages— Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android—to build test suites that integrate directly with our codebase.


Day to Day job Duties:

  • Automation Framework Development: Design and scale native mobile test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Test Implementation: Write clean, maintainable automation code using Swift (XCTest/XCUITest) and Kotlin (Espresso/Compose Test).
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins) for continuous nightly testing.
  • Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, isolate, document, and track technical bugs thoroughly in Jira.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with native iOS and Android developers to review code and identify testability requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years'' experience in writing UI and/or unit tests using XCTest and/or XCUITest.
  • 3+ years'' experience in writing automated tests using Espresso or Jetpack Compose testing libraries.
  • 3+ years'' experience in Version Control tool like Github etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mobile Ecosystems: Deep understanding of iOS (Xcode) and Android (Android Studio) development tools.
  • Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with mobile architectures like MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture to write better white-box tests.
