Salary Range: $44,000 to $57,500
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach, the Director of Volleyball Operations will oversee and supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the University's Volleyball program. This position will coordinate all aspects of operational activities such as pre-season training camp, team travel, post season trips, recruitment events, and alumni events. The Director of Volleyball Operations will also be responsible for developing and managing the women's volleyball program's operational budget as well as other administrative support tasks. Position will manage all operations of the women's volleyball program in accordance with NCAA and University rules and regulations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Volleyball Operations and Supervision Oversee and supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the women's volleyball program. In addition, oversee and supervise all its major components to include, but not limited to, pre-season training camp, team travel, post season trips, practice and planning alumni events. Manage and supervise the student staffing for women's volleyball.
Administrative Responsibilities Manage the program's operating and travel budgets. Create and maintain a yearly calendar. Serve as the liaison to the athletic administration, compliance administration, academics, university housing and dining administration, ARMS Software service.
Recruiting Organize all aspects of the organization's official and unofficial recruiting campus visits to include the summer prospect camp. Maintain accurate demographic, academics and athletics information on top prospects and commits in the recruiting database.
Engagement Assist the Head Women's Volleyball Coach by attending intercollegiate athletics, university alumni and fundraising events. Work with the Sports Information Director to participate in approved media request. Assist the Head Women's Volleyball Coach with the planning and execution of the Career Development Program.
Other Duties as Assigned Assist and/or complete other duties that may be assigned by the VP and Director of Athletics, Women's Volleyball Sport Administrator or Head Coach.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of program management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree
- Prior program management experience at the collegiate level
- Working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
