Job Summary
The Volleyball Sports Coordinator is responsible for running the 6 week i9 Sports Volleyball program. This person should have solid knowledge and experience playing and/or coaching volleyball. You'll work with parent volunteers to teach concepts, skills, and drills for beginning and intermediate volleyball players over the course of the 6 week season.
Program Overview
The i9 Sports Season is a 6 week, one hour clinic for beginning volleyball players ages 7-14. We offer volleyball year-round in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Seasons.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the 6 week clinic with 15-30 kids in the gym for the one hour session. Must be ongoing, confident, and high energy.
  • Teach & demonstrate core volleyball concepts
  • Supervise the overall operation of volleyball on game day
  • Positively engage with kids and parents with a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
  • Referee games on final game day!

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills - you need to be comfortable speaking to a group of kids and parent volunteer coaches in the gym to keep the program high-energy and highly instructional!
  • Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
  • Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
  • Ability to work weekends 8am - 2pm in Novato and/or Petaluma
