Job description

This role will involve up to 50% travel across all of our markets in the US.

The Role 

As a Program Manager, Physical Security you will be responsible for designing and deploying security and surveillance technology programs such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems throughout our fleet of Retail and C. Regulations vary from state to state, and you will be responsible for familiarizing yourself and complying with security regulations in every state where we operate. This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to travel to our various locations, manage installations, supervise vendors, and educate field employees on system use and security protocol. 

Responsibilities 
  • Develop Asset Protection Solutions programs and support operational security infrastructure through the creation and management of systems and processes that support the company's operations and minimize enterprise risk. 
  • Responsible for the planning and installation of security systems in both retail and cultivation facilities while ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. 
  • Manage and support assigned systems such as CCTV, Alarms, Access Control, Mass Notification, and Critical Event Management. Develop scalable solutions to fit the needs of the business. 
  • Oversee security vendor network for all assigned company locations.  
  • Prepare capital allocation proposals, manage project budgets, and monitor projects through completion. 
  • Acts as point of escalation for the day-to-day administration of the various surveillance, security, and access control systems. 
  • Support physical security program execution through a 24/7 Security Operations Center that proactively monitors business assets and provides expertise and response whenever business disrupting events occur.  
  • Collaborate cross functionally and coordinate physical security transitions and integrations for mergers and acquisitions. 
  • Research and comply with evolving state-by-state regulations regarding security protocol for each of our dispensaries and cultivation centers. 
  • Communicate expectations and project details with external vendors and relay project details at regular intervals with internal stakeholders. 
  • Conduct site audits and compliance checks. 
Qualifications  
  • 2-4 years of experience with VMS administration and configuration and Network Solutions required 
  • Vendor-management experience required 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other industry certifications preferred 
  • Knowledgeable about relevant security hardware and systems, including surveillance equipment, alarm systems, access control systems etc. 
  • Proven project management experience 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required 
  • Strong relationship building skills, with both internal stakeholders and external partners 
  • Must be available to travel (50%) 
  • Strong communicator, able to teach security protocol to Green Thumb employees in the field 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness 
  • Adapt and thrive in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment 
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking 
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information 
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI 
  • Desire to understand the rules and regulations of the industry

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver's license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
