SUMMARY
The Regional Merchandiser, Visual is responsible for the organization, transport, and production of visual display developments for new store locations, displaying merchandise in windows, showcases, and on the sales floor. The Regional Merchandise, Visual has visionary ideas and love for great design and customer experience and will serve as inspiration to our customers. Understands the organization's customer base and ''brand'' and can apply this knowledge to create visual merchandising and displays aimed at attracting and retaining customers. Partners with store operation leaders to drive visual merchandising strategies within assigned stores. Ensures that visual merchandising standards are being maintained. Promotes extraordinary customer experiences and brings the organization's Brand and fashions to life within windows and in-store displays. Ensures the field is trained and carries out the visual strategy of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports New store actions as needed to lead new stores VM sets for each store/market. Creates a strong brand image, ensure store action process efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
  • Assists with relocation and 993 weeks for visual merchandising.
  • Owns the overall retail experience and customer experience for new store locations to include merchandising, and visual presentation ensure successful launches and ongoing success in their retail operations.
  • Provides hands-on training to the store teams and Store operation leaders. Educate on the strategies of VM, VM principles, product presentation standards, refreshing key strike points, and maintaining visual excellence consistently.
  • Supports holding stores accountable for visual merchandising standards and reinforces with Operation leadership the principles behind the standards to maintain consistent brand standards, ensure optimal sales performance, and enhance customer experience.
  • Assists Visual Merch Manager in executing visual directives as needed.
  • Communicates inventory levels or issues to buyers/allocation team. Directs new fixture roll outs to modernize the store's appearance. Evaluates store layouts to feature fresh products on a regular basis. Reports evaluation to manager to influence floor plans and directives.
  • Collaborates with merchants, allocation, procurement, and signage team members to ensure store teams have all the necessary elements needed to execute.
  • Leads Visual Merchandising walk throughs at store level ensuring the stores visual merchandising is kept to the highest standards.
  • Completes expense reports, new store contact sheets, maintenance reports, and records from new store settings monthly.
  • Collaborates with corporate partners in Property Management on updates and projects for new store locations.
  • Coordinates with District Sales Managers on scheduling and managing borrowed employees to assist with visual merchandising.
  • Communicates key information that is vital to the success of new initiatives.
  • Completes and verifies sale setups in stores for ensuring the success of promotional campaigns and maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Designs visual displays or executes the design decisions of another to maintain brand consistency, optimize sales performance, enhance customer experience, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Creates and maintains a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity.
  • Ensures signing, fixtures, lighting, and display equipment is well maintained and reflects City Gear standards.
  • Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
  • Measurable Outcomes: Accomplish total number of new stores/visual store sets on time for achieving strategic growth, maximizing financial returns, and maintaining operational efficiency. Revenue Growth to reflect the company's ability to generate increasing sales, maintain profitability, and achieve long-term success.
  • Travel is expected up to 60% of the time.
  • On call duties: After hours and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Retail Merchandising or equivalent.
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on visual merchandising skills. Ability to create and easily speak to the strategies behind the benefits of strong visual merchandising.
  • Strong visual and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem solver, takes initiative to come up with ''out of the box'' solutions to achieve goals.
