The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Audio-Visual Design Engineer to join our team at Ultimate Technologies Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audio-visual systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. As an Audio-Visual Engineer, you will be responsible for designing audio-visual systems that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

This is a hybrid role based out of Fishers, IN. Team members are expected to be in-office 3 days per week and work from home 2 days per week.


Responsibilities

  • System Design: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create comprehensive audio-visual system designs that address specific requirements and deliver optimal performance.
  • Installation and Integration: Support the installation and integration of audio-visual systems, ensuring all components are correctly designed and functioning as intended.
  • Project Management: Assist the assigned Project Manager in managing audio-visual projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our audio-visual solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.
  • Client Training: Work with the assigned Project Manager as needed to conduct training sessions for clients to ensure they are comfortable using their new audio-visual systems and can maximize their benefits.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all audio-visual projects, including system diagrams, scope of work, bill of materials, user manuals, and maintenance logs.


Competencies

Must-Haves

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in audio-visual technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining audio-visual systems, preferably in a professional or commercial setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with audio-visual equipment, including projectors, video walls, complex AV systems, displays, sound systems, control systems, video conferencing platforms, and networking.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), are highly desirable.
  • Experience using D-Tools, Acumatica, and Microsoft
