Job description

We are accepting applications for Low Voltage Data Technicians for single-site service and project work at various locations across Northwest Arkansas. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structured cabling systems in commercial, retail, distribution, and warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and terminate low voltage and structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
  • Pull, route, dress, and label copper and fiber cabling
  • Terminate, test, and certify cabling using industry-standard testing equipment
  • Install patch panels, racks, switches, and network hardware
  • Install, migrate, and remove wireless access points (APs) as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair data cabling infrastructure
  • Read and follow blueprints, cable schedules, and site plans
  • Accurately test, label, and document all cabling work
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas at all times
  • Travel between job sites within Northwest Arkansas as scheduled

Must provide and wear required PPE, including:

  • Class E Rated Hard Hat
  • Safety-Toed Boots
  • Safety Glasses
  • Hi-Vis Vest or Hi-Vis Shirt

Reliable attendance and punctuality are a high priority. Excessive or unnecessary absences will lead to replacement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience with low voltage / structured cabling installations
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and PPE
  • Must provide own PPE and tools
  • Reliable transportation to multiple job sites across Northwest Arkansas
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

  • BICSI Installer 1, Installer 2, or Technician certification
  • Fiber optic experience (single-mode, multi-mode, fusion splicing)
  • Cable certification testing (Fluke DSX, LinkRunner, or similar)
  • Commercial, retail, distribution, or warehouse project experience
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
