Job Description
Title: VIS Operations Teacher Leader
Positions:
  • Fourth Grade Operations Leader
  • Fifth Grade Operations Leader
  • Sixth Grade Operations Leader

Qualifications:
  • Hold valid New York State certification in designated area of leadership position
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting
  • Able to work effectively with a variety of staff and groups

Responsibilities: Shall include but are not limited to the following:
  • Helps plan and facilitate grade level meetings, records minutes, and distributes copies to the Principal and Assistant Principal as needed
  • Presents pertinent information at staff meetings (i.e. faculty, grade, BLT meetings)
  • Meets monthly or as needed with Building Administration
  • Collaborates with building Sunshine Committee to plan and implement team building and staff wellness activities and events
  • Serve as a liaison between building administration and grade-level teams by facilitating clear communication, sharing information, and providing feedback to support collaboration and alignment.
  • Serves on Building Leadership Team
  • Gathers information related to grade level needs
  • Plans, coordinates and submits all required documentation for field trips
  • Coordinates grade level events
  • Helps to coordinate building level events
  • Attends training as deemed appropriate by the administration
  • Provides input into staff development programs and conference day planning
  • Maintains confidentiality with staff, student and family information

Reports to: Principal
Salary: As per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association
Terms of Employment:
The position of Elementary Grade Level Teacher Leader is a ten-month position. The terms are established in accordance with the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association.
Evaluation:
Performance in this position will be evaluated annually by district administration.
