Job description

When you give your time as a volunteer with St. Croix Hospice, you join a team of individuals dedicated to providing patient-centered care and comfort during advanced-stage illnesses. Hospice volunteers offer companionship, compassionate help and support for patients and their loved ones when they need it most. Volunteers provide an empathic, respectful, and caring presence for patients and their loved ones.

The St. Croix Hospice team provides exceptional hospice care with an emphasis on quality of life. Our holistic care model offers physical, emotional, and spiritual support uniquely tailored to a patient's individual needs and wishes. When you join our team as a volunteer, you're making a difference in the lives of individuals and families right in your own community.

Our virtual volunteers provide support to hospice patients virtually via computer and/or phone by checking on their supply, medication and equipment needs, and provide companionship by visiting with the patient and their loved ones creating a lasting bond. Tuck-In Volunteers will help with anticipating patient, family and caregiver needs and filling requests to set them up with what they need for the best quality of life.
