Founded in 2009, CLO Virtual Fashion is creating a new ecosystem for digital fashion based on its unrivaled technology in 3D clothing simulation algorithms.
 
CLO Virtual Fashion provides all clothing-related services from concept to design, manufacturing, marketing, fitting, and styling based on 3D clothing simulation algorithms.
 
Along with costume design software CLO, Marvelous Designer, and Jinny, we are involved in the entire costume journey with platforms specialized in costume content such as CLO-SET and CONNECT to build an efficient and sustainable workflow. Additionally, our solution allows physical and digital garments to be tagged together to function within the CLO system.
 
CLO Virtual Fashion, which is leading the global digital fashion market, currently has a total of 13 offices in 11 countries around the world, including Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, and is gradually expanding based on numerous customers from around the world.
 
Position Overview
 
We are seeking a Full-Time Researcher to join our global R&D team. In this role, you will develop and refine methodologies in areas such as physics-based simulation, geometric modeling, and intuitive design. You will work alongside our team on research initiatives in material dynamics, expressive authoring paradigms, and high-performance visualization, helping ensure our software continues to provide best-in-class solutions for our users.
 
Responsibilities
  • Execute high-level research in computer graphics, HCI, or ML to solve simulation challenges.
  • Develop intuitive workflows for garment construction that bridge the gap between 2D and 3D.
  • Convert theoretical discoveries into optimized, production-ready code with our engineering teams.
  • Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks to maintain the performance of the core engine.
  • Manage collaborative projects with external partners to integrate emerging tech into our roadmap.
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of R&D experience in graphics, physics simulation, or machine learning.
  • Advanced C++ skills with experience in version control and automated testing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate research findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Background in discrete geometry, numerical methods, structural mechanics, rendering, or HCI/UX.
Plus if you have
  • Record of impactful publications at venues like SIGGRAPH, CVPR, UIST, or Eurographics.
  • High-level proficiency in GPU programming and APIs like CUDA, Metal, or WebGPU.
  • Portfolio of patents, research grants, or recognized fellowships in computer graphics.
